I always thought that a mother had to have certain qualities. That in order to be a Mom there was some list of requirements, a test maybe. It seemed that you had to be clean. That you had to cook. That you had to be patient, kind, and honest. That you had to be loving, selfless, and humble. It seemed to me that mothers had to be "Practically perfect in every way." It wasn't until I reached an age where the possibility of being a mother came into view I realized this isn't true, there is no test you have to take, no special requirements, that I came to the realization that I'm just REALLY special, and got a mom with all these qualities, and more.
I want my Mom on this special day to know that she means the world to me. That she is the reason I am who I am today. She taught me everything that I could possibly need to know to be successful on my own. I am so grateful for the light that she is in my life. I can not think of anybody else who always puts others first. I have never had a doubt in my mind that my mom would do anything for me, unless she knew that something else would be better for me. No matter what she does it's for her family, and not for herself.
Thank you Mom. You have done an amazing job.
We love you more than you could possibly know.
I will do everything I can to follow the example you have led.
I love you
