To My Mom, On Mothers Day

I always thought that a mother had to have certain qualities. That in order to be a Mom there was some list of requirements, a test maybe. It seemed that you had to be clean. That you had to cook. That you had to be patient, kind, and honest. That you had to be loving, selfless, and humble. It seemed to me that mothers had to be "Practically perfect in every way." It wasn't until I reached an age where the possibility of being a mother came into view I realized this isn't true, there is no test you have to take, no special requirements, that I came to the realization that I'm just REALLY special, and got a mom with all these qualities, and more.
I want my Mom on this special day to know that she means the world to me. That she is the reason I am who I am today. She taught me everything that I could possibly need to know to be successful on my own. I am so grateful for the light that she is in my life. I can not think of anybody else who always puts others first. I have never had a doubt in my mind that my mom would do anything for me, unless she knew that something else would be better for me. No matter what she does it's for her family, and not for herself.

Thank you Mom. You have done an amazing job.

We love you more than you could possibly know.

I will do everything I can to follow the example you have led.

I love you

I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday.

While I was in Arizona for memorial day I was able to see all three of the arizona temples. I was a great opportunity. As we travelled from north to south arizona we saw....

First the Snowflake Temple. It had such beautiful grounds. And the mission presidents house was on the hill and It was huge!!! If i'm ever a mission president. I would most definitively be okay with being the one in Snowflake.

The Second temple in arizona (north to south) is the Gila Valley Temple. It was smaller but a really cool pink color. It was in a really random location, but very beautiful. The flowers in the front were absolutely stunning! (We only took one picture so here is Martin Roes working the Aviators)

and last but not least the Mesa Arizona Temple. This temple is one of the oldest temples it was built right after the Cardston temple, and rumor has it, it has spectacular lights at christmas. We spent some time in the visitors cen ter , it was a really good experience they have beautiful paintings and I could really feel the spirit of the lord.

To My Brother In Law, On His Birthday.

When I was a lass of 9
Everything was good and fine
I had five sisters good a true
everything was bright and blue

We would wear big dresses
Make big messes
but most of all we were all successes
We loved each other, would rarely fight
and when we hugged, all was right

Although Alanna lived so far away
I jumped for joy when I heard her say
It wasn't to long till her big day!

I had lots of friends with loads of brothers
They always said they loved each other
so when I heard it was my turn
that I no longer had to yearn
I didn't have to wait to long
till had my own brother big and strong

I waited april may june july
boy how fast those months did fly
My heart lit up when I saw them glow
and couldn't wait for me to grow
so I could be just like them
when I would someday meet my ken

but you see there is more
and this I've learned from behind locked doors
that until the day I fulfill this goal
Dustin will be my personal Troll

I didn't know what "brothers" meant
until my life had constant torment
I was tied to chairs
I lost some hairs
I explained to friends
and made amends
my stuff would seemed to disappear
and a few clues later would be so near
rearranging all my stuff
suddenly being the youngest got quite tough

although dustin can be a pain
and makes me think i'm going in sane
looking back on the good and bad
there isn't a moment I was sad
cause everything is good a bright
when my brother dustin is in sight
he makes me laugh he makes me hide
he makes my life a constant ride

he makes my day have flips and turns
but having brothers i have learned
although you know you'll never win
they make seem to make you grin.

so listen up and hear me say,
In a really broke college student kind of way,
it's been 10 years of jokes and games
of making fun of Josh and James
but happy happy birthday Master Dusty
perhaps you getting older will make your pranks a little rusty
and I will win a war or two
or maybe not but i'll make do
Cause life wouldn't be the same WITHOUT YOU!

The last little bit reminded me of a really funny quote that i think sums us up really well from the movie Megamind he says "He would win some, I would Almost win others." It made me laugh. Anyways I hope you have a phenomenal Birthday Master Moody. Sorry about my poetry skills. Just though I would do something since three bucks generally doesn't cut it for a birthday present. So Happy Birthday!

Beee Yourself

I Dream of Sunshine.

On this wonderful day in Rexburg there is zero amounts of sunshine. I woke up walked to class and found out it was cancelled. After the cold wet walk home I zoned out and began to dream of sunshine.

It was extremely hard to remember back to the day when the sky was blue.

Wearing shorts and relaxing at the one and only Porter Park.

Relaxing, Laughing and soaking up the sun

The light breeze blowing my hair
Hopefully It won't be too long until we see the sun again.

Hopefully it won't be to long till this day comes!!
